Assistant Principals function as principals-in-training, receiving professional development that will hone their craft until they are ready to lead a Success Academy school at the highest level.
QUALIFICATIONS
We invite you to apply if you:
Have 2-3 years of teaching experience
Are eager to learn and have growth mindset
Have diverse experiences across grades and/or subjects
Have an education reform mindset
Hold exceptionally high standards for the quality of work and have a reflex to improve at every turn
Have a record of exceptional student achievement and results
Join as an Assistant Principal Fellow and be placed at one of our nearly 50 schools in New York City
Participate in a teaching rotation to learn the intricacies of our school design, and our teaching standards, while being paid at the junior leadership level
This first year of teaching will set you up to be a fully-functioning Assistant Principal from the start of your second year
Beyond Year 1
Lead as an Assistant Principal
Continue to develop your leadership skills through our exceptional supports, coaching, training, and development
Benefit from one-on-one coaching, feedback, and mentorship from Success Academy leaders
Connect with other fellows, creating a community to share your experiences

Screening
You'll be invited to complete a recorded video interview and two written responses.
Virtual Interviews
Next, you'll be assessed across a range of key attributes through a series of virtual interviews with our leaders.
Acceptance and Placement
We'll discuss your school placement preferences and you'll be assigned to your placement school soon after.
